Mount Arenal is a stratovolcano located in Costa Rica, and is the most active of any volcano in the area. Arenal rises 5,436 feet (1657 m) above sea level and neighbors Lake Arenal. It is the youngest and most active of all the volcanoes in Costa Rica.

Mount Arenal erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, but the eruptions are usually not visible unless it is dark outside.
